Central California Alliance for Health is Hiring a Marketing Program Manager Near San Diego, CA

We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as the Marketing Program Manager in the Communications and Marketing Department. There is one position that can be filled in any Alliance office or remotely for those residing in California. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

The Alliance’s Communications and Marketing Department is a key supporter of our five-year Strategic Plan. The Marketing Product Manager is an exciting new role within the department, established to assist in the creation and execution of the marketing strategy for our new Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP). D-SNPs provide both Medicare and Medi-Cal health plans to eligible members. As part of CalAIM, the Alliance is required to stand up a compliant D-SNP product by 1/1/2026 for all service areas. This position will play a key role in establishing the foundational marketing elements of the plan, including brand-building and marketing roll-out strategies. In addition, this position will provide ongoing, measurable marketing plans to support the program's growth. This position reports to the Communications and Marketing Director.  This position will also collaborate and work closely with other members of the Communications and Marketing Department on an integrated and aligned communications strategy and will assist with other communications content as needed.

Reporting to the Communications and Marketing Director this position:

  • Manages, plans, oversees, and executes on the Alliance’s marketing and communications activities related to the Medicare Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) line of business
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of marketing plans and campaigns and monitors industry trends in the marketplace
  • Collaborates with internal teams to ensure all marketing materials meet regulatory and other compliance requirements
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and lead to Marketing Program staff 

ABOUT THE COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING TEAM

We are brand champions, working collaboratively to create relevant, effective and clear marketing communications to support operational goals and promote understanding of our services for the populations we serve.

The Communications and Marketing Department provides expertise and enterprise-wide support for all internal and external communications, talking points and messaging, media outreach, design and branding, copywriting, project communications support, outreach materials, company-wide presentations, and photos and videos.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 

  • Has a passion for building marketing communication programs from the ground up, ensuring that plans are measurable and effective in supporting sales goals
  • Is a skilled marketer, with a broad skillset in drafting engaging and effective content and visuals that appeal to target audiences
  • Has experience in program development with strength in brand-building and successfully creating and executing marketing plans
  • Is an adept collaborator and influencer, skilled at working with others on a variety of marketing materials such as brochures, web site and social media content, newsletter materials, advertisements, direct mail pieces, email marketing campaigns and member informing materials
  • Is a highly skilled communicator, possessing an exceptional blend of written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Is skilled at moving work forward, identifying obstacles, meeting tight deadlines and juggling several projects simultaneously
  • Is comfortable working in evolving environments and understands change management
  • Has the ability to define and communicate issues accurately and timely
  • Has the ability to work cohesively in a team-oriented environment and interact with others with diplomacy and tact and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual skills a plus

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Knowledge of:
    • Marketing concepts, strategies, tactics, and methods of execution
    • Methods and techniques of developing and executing marketing plans in a sales environment
    • Research, analysis, and reporting methods
    • Principles and practices of program and project management

  • Ability to:
    • Develop and implement innovative and creative marketing strategies
    • Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance regarding the most complex marketing activities 
    • Ensure that marketing materials meet regulatory and other compliance requirements
    • Manage the development and implementation of projects, systems, programs, policies, procedures, and workflows
    • Analyze and evaluate data and marketplace trends and apply the results to the development of marketing strategies and tactics
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field 
    • A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in communications or marketing program support or management, which included a minimum of four years of marketing experience supporting sales teams (a Master’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying 

OTHER DETAILS

  • While this position is connected to one of our Alliance offices, we are in hybrid remote/in-office work environment right now and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely.
  • Our Alliance office locations have officially re-opened as of May 2, 2022 and while some employees may work in full-time telecommute schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
  • Based on the nature of work, this position may require onsite presence, which is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.

The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below. 
The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).
